Footage of Loved Pets - 2021 - Full Film - 05:00
''Expanding on group discussions around the home environment’s relationship to party and play, “27’’, A collaborative project between Ellie Towers and Reece Griffiths follows the narrative of a tunnel-filled community house, whose residents communicate with the neighbors through their output of creative content - sharing the likes of anecdotes and handmade recipe books - as those outside the home’s walls feed and care for those within.
Much like the inside of a pet rat’s cage, the journey through the different floors is filled with toys and stimuli - audio guiding the viewer through various levels as more details about both the setting and its inhabitants are revealed through murals, sketches, objects and notes, which have also leaked outside of the hand-painted frame, and into the gallery space.''
The above version of the film was Edited for the Liverpool Biennial 2021's Festival Guide exhibition, where it was shown as part of a group show. This edit was re-named 'Footage of Loved Pets' & featured a space used in that years show re-imagined.

Set on top of backlit, painted tiles, this snapshot from inside the virtual rat house has been brought into the material framework of The Royal Standard’s Main Gallery Space, and made available to view as part of the 2021 LightNight Show.''
